Dave Gahan
Dave Gahan is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for the band Depeche Mode. He was born on May 9, 1962, in Epping, Essex, England.
Gahan joined Depeche Mode in 1980, after answering an ad placed by Vince Clarke in a local newspaper. The band’s first single, “Dreaming of Me,” was released in 1981, and they gained international success with their album “Violator” in 1990.
In addition to his work with Depeche Mode, Gahan has also released several solo albums, including “Paper Monsters” and “Hourglass.” He has collaborated with numerous artists throughout his career, including Soulsavers and Goldfrapp.
