I tried charcoal quite a few times and always failed. I do not know exactly what it is that makes charcoal so hard for me, but faces most often look like a pizza fallen to the ground. This sketch here is my first attempt ever that vaguely looks like I wanted. Maybe I passed to low point and things can only get better now?
